Gmc sierra radio display not working.

All work fine, I paid for a 3 year special offer, but the one chanel my wife and I listen to, isn't there. Called XM, they told me that the radio need to be upgraded, some GM vehicles, in my case 2014 Sierra, doesn't have the capability.

I was going down the road and noticed the gauges had quit working except spedometer and tach. Then I noticed windows, door locks and radio quit working. The battery light, abs,and a car with a lock symbol was on.1. With the vehicle on, use the vehicle touch screen to go to the list of paired devices. 2. Select the phone name. 3. Select Delete. 4. Confirm that the phone name has been removed from the list of paired devices. Remove the vehicle from your phone’s list of paired devices:The swap was fine. Nothing abnormal about it. But when I went to drive the truck the radio didn't work. The screen doesn't come on. The buttons don't light up when I turn on the headlights. The buttons DO come on for 4-5 seconds when I hit the power button. Also, the display does function when pressing the CD buttons:There is no guidance in the manual, unless I missed it. The call button has always worked the same in every vehicle I've driven, from rentals to my most recent 2018 Colorado. When I press the call button, circled in the picture, absolutely nothing happens. This button is what I used to use to initiate a hands free call.

It looks like there was the OTA update that was sent to the "Radio" And that had also triggered an update in the Instrument cluster for the main ECU and something called "graphic update". He re-forced the graphic update and then after that was able to re update the ECU. That seemed to fix the issue. not sure why a OTA update would interact with ...

Bluetooth wouldn't be, though. That would be an add-on module somewhere in the car. A problem with the radio display would suggest the radio itself has gone bad.
