The trigger was a bit of a surprise at first. I had not previously tried the Hiperfire RBT but found it immediately to be a delight as it was crisp and fast. Much better than the mil-spec or even EPT triggers from PSA’s standard line. PSA AR-15 Lowers (Standard) This is a single-stage trigger and has a pretty short throw, maybe a few millimeters.

Mar 27, 2021 · The PSA EPT trigger is a surprisingly good mil-spec trigger also. I have a couple of these in builds. I also have a few Rise triggers in some builds and they have been great with having a roughly 3.5lbs trigger pull and no take up. The trigger is PSA’s EPT (Enhanced Polished Trigger) and has a standard break for an AR pattern rifle, roughly 5.5 lbs. It’s exceptionally familiar as it’s the same fire control group as any 5.56 or similar AR. I do see a Timney in the future, so stay tuned for that. It breaks crisp, minimal take up, and is not mushy at all.
I rate them as WC>EPT>MIL. The EPT is fine but not nearly as crisp as the WC. For mine, I find the MIL has a better, sharper reset than the EPT, but is heavier and grittier. The EPT IMO is a fine trigger, especially for the price, but there are very nice options for not a ton more (I paid $65-ish for the WC TR-TTK) 1.
There is a thread somewhere (that I can't find) where folks were replacing some springs on the PSA EPT trigger with those from some other company that supposedly improved it a good bit. For some reason I'm thinking it may have been JP springs, but I'd like to try it if I knew the particulars?

Nov 22, 2017 · The only other 2-stage that even compares (IMO) is Mark's trigger. It's a great trigger with the heavier spring installed. Kinda lacks the crisp feel I like with the light spring, but the heavier spring just sharpens it up all the way around. And for $99, they are a great deal. Great triggers, IME. I have a few, zero issues. Nice improvement over milspec type triggers, eliminates the gritty pull, just don't expect a match trigger. Tan spring = ~6.0 lb pull weight.
