The chamber on mine is not concentric with the bore and has bad chattering near the muzzle. At the time they informed me that the problem had been tracked to a certain number of barrels from one manufacturer. They were able to track these to a block of serial numbers for the TX22 although they were not certain all pistols within that block of numbers were affected.

Serial numbers are NOT unique to one firearm. Send some photos, and perhaps I can narrow it down for you. If the gun is laying on a table, grip down, barrel pointing to the right, look just below and to the right of the cylinder on the flat part of the frame. That is where it is on my .38 snubby Taurus.

The new TX22 barrel is nice, normal. My older one, rough, lots of chatter, etc. Figured I'd try to get my old barrel replaced due to the manufacturing defect but Taurus said no. It's normal for the older barrels to be cut like shit. I swear people got theirs replaced but they wouldn't budge from not replacing mine.

Put about 500 rounds of various ammo and it cycled fine, except for Aguila subsonic ammo, which would not cycle the slide at all. I had bought two spare mags from Academy Sports, but both magazines were unreliable. Serial 0332xx, lower number than the first one, only 26 digits apart. The barrel in the new one is stamped "l" on the side, exactly as the replacement for the first one is, so I'm guessing at some point Taurus went and replaced the barrel before shipping it out, as both pistols are brand new from the factory.
